In 1982, Harry, Sr. handed
over the management of the farm to his son, Harry Singh,
Jr. (fondly known as “Vito” to family and
friends). Years of observing his father in the fields
prepared Harry, Jr. for a job he loves to this day.
He soon saw a way to achieve even greater consistency
of product, and that was for the company to control
its output from seeds to sales. Under his supervision,
Oceanside Produce – the company’s own sales
and marketing unit – was formed.
An innovator himself, he continues to combine his father’s
expertise with new techniques. He conducts up to 100
different studies each year in his ongoing quest to
deliver the perfect tomato.
